Q. What is interKanect

interKanect is an online collaboration platform from KBW Services that allows people to get live, real-time, on-demand help through live video on their computers or mobile devices from subject-matter-experts. People offering help through interKanect are called '"Helpers,"' and can be companies or individuals.

Helpers create and maintain their own personal interKanect page that explains what they offer, their qualifications, prices, and schedules. Helpers can also personalize their interKanect page URL and share with fans, followers, clients, customers and even friends and family. Additionally, every interKanect page has a link to the Helpers calendar where an interKanect session can be scheduled for a future date. Once a session is scheduled, users are notified through email.

All payments are done via PayPal. Prices are set by the Helpers themselves based on 15, 30 and 60 minute intervals. Sessions are extendable as well.  At the end of each session, users are asked to rate the Helper. They can also post reviews. interKanect offers a money-back guarantee. If a user was not satisfied with a session, the user can apply for a refund within 24 hours from the end of their session by contacting support@interkanect.com. interKanect has a cancellation policy that states that some Helpers may have a cancellation fee.[2] In those cases customers were required to call in 24 hours prior to the session to avoid the fee, which was either 50% of the fixed session price or two times the requested session rate.

Q. How does an interKanect call Work?

After answering an incoming interKanect call, you and your caller have 5 minutes to negotiate the call terms such as price and length of the call. Once the call terms are agreed upon, you will enter them in the pop-up window and then click OK. A new pop-up window will appear on the caller's screen displaying the negotiated call terms and requesting approval for payment. The caller will then click the Pay button and be taken to PayPal to make payment. At this point the interKanect call is suspended. Once the payment is processed, you will automatically be re-connected.

Q. How do I know when I have an incoming interKanect call?

Q. Will interKanect automatically disconnect when the call time has expired?

No. Once the session has expired, a pop-up window will appear on your screen asking if you would like to extend the interKanect call. At this point you and your caller have 5 minutes to negotiate the terms of the call extension such as price and length of the call. Basically repeating the same process as when you answered the interKanect call.

Q. What does online status mean?

The small green circle next to each member's avatar lets you know if the member is online. A small red circle means the member is online but currently in an interKanect call.
